I would remain loyal to my dealer if they are and have treated me right.

In this case you will be doing that dealer a favor.Instead of MSRP they will sell a couple grand over.

I'm kind of in the same boat as the O.P. If one comes my way with what I want, I'm not sure what I'd do.......

You are probably going to hurt the dealers feelings and make them cry becuase you did not buy the car! NOT!
They will gladly seel it to someone else for over MSRP. I would just go buy the other car. At least you would get it in a few days instead of just being in QC limbo like the rest of us. Go buy the other car, but only if its at MSRP. I would make sure this other car is actually available and what you are seeing online is true. Seems kinda weird that someone would have one of these hard to find and hot cars just sitting there for MSRP with no takers yet. |

well you forget the economy isnt the best right now, and in some areas unemployment is quite high. Not everybody has 30-40k to spend on a sports car right now which isnt really necessary. Im not saying the CAR isnt important, but to many it just isnt the right decision to make right now

I can't see that hurting their feelings any. Only downside is you kiss your $500 goodbye. Make sure the other deal is valid and the car is available then go for it. You can call your original dealer and let them know just to be nice. I honestly can't believe its going to matter right now. |

It will sell regardless. At least right now while they are still hot and scarce. |

You're actually doing your dealer a favor by buying the other car. Do it.

It's hard to wait - I know - and I only waited 3 months - ordered 3/5 and took delivery today.
What kind of allocation did your dealer get? Like 2 cars? I read posts about guys like you and it doesnt seem fair that you are still waiting. If you really need the car now, I would go for the other dealer. I do agree that "your" Camaro, the one you ordered, does mean something. And will mean something down the road to you too.

I would tell the original dealer straight up, what is the deal with my car? Now if you don't care about the special codes for ordering early and do care about saving a few dollars then first see if the orginal dealer will msrp or lower, if not go get your dream car now.
