QTPs give up the ghost....

Was on my way to work this morning...felt something hit the floor pan on a turn after a bump....I think I had better to slow down, get out, and check it out....I am almost stopped when I start to hear scrapping on the pavement and then all of a sudden it is very violent and it feels like I ran over something big......

Weld gives and off it comes...glad I wasn't traveling at highway speed...trying to decide if I want to go Noweeds or just get new pipe.....I also need to get under her and see if there is any other damage.....

The weld failed...I bottomed out on a speed bump that I couldnt avoid the day after fest...Ive bottomed out with them twice since Ive bought them in 2010...held together until today...i bought them from thespymaster so I am not sure which shop did the welding...

Its a qtp cutout for the exhaust

Im not blaming qtp...just saying people may want to check theirs...

Ive had mine for about 25,000 miles...it would suck if this happened while driving fast

Looks like it got snagged on something. The QTPs hang low.

I've been welding for 13 years and if that is the weld in the first picture on the left all I have to say is wow they just slopped that weld on there I would take it back to whoever welded it and make them replace it

I to welded for over 12yrs and a pretty weld don't make a strong weld, Looks to have used an Arc welder which would explain the ugly weld, Would really need to see where it was welded to see if it was the weld. 4000lb is a lot to drop on something.
