I'm not buying them but the ad said it was an internal (hmm) fire. But yeah that was a sticking point!

Looks like I have the fronts locked down. Now need rotors and rears. Please let me know guys! Thank you!

The brand new set I picked up cost me $450 (actually I traded 4 car show stands value was $450) for front & rear Brembo calipers, rotors, pads, and brake lines back in Jan 2010 a great mod I added hawks pads back in May almost zero brake dust and almost no brake squeel

Back in the Day Fesler Built was offering them for $500 shipped to most places these pere new take off sets.

My squeaky brakes and their subpar performance are making me crazy. I'll happily trade my brakes for yours, too, if you want to work out a deal for drag racing purposes.

Thanks!
Sarah, PM Rhino79. He's looking to trade for a set of V6 breaks. He's in Jacksonville, so you could pick them up next time you are over this way.

Yep on top of that I sold my v6 ones for $180 + S&H so in the end I made out like a champ keep looking you will find a set contact Hennessey, Calloway, Fesler, and a few other performance shops to see if they will sell you a set.

And I know someone else with a Camaro who did the same thing though he paid $400ish. Met him on the Hot Rod Power Tour.

This is what I'm waiting on-- another rash of SLP takeoffs to hit eBay. Patience is a virtue
That "guy" would be me. Anyways, I only got the front set from SLP, but that did include the calipers, lines and discs. I do not think they are doing this anymore. This was back when they were doing their own model of ZL1 and would take brand new SS's and swap out the front set for a 6 piston set and bigger discs. SLP would then sell the entire FRONT set on their ebay page for a buy it now price. I did this back in 2010, so I'm not surprised if they are no longer doing this. When you think about it, they're taking these brakes of anyways, so they might as well put them up for sale, even if it is cheap.

Why would I want your V6 brakes when I already have a V6...?

Loving your car.

It looks like on August 12th I'll be taking my car over to Jacksonville, where a fellow who wants V6 brakes so he can put drag radials on his car will be trading his Brembo setup for my setup!

Thanks so much for the help y'all.

Thanks!

Congrats on the brembo set, one of the more instant noticable mods I've done to my car, other than the super charger. Now I need to see if I can pick up a set of brembos for the rear...

everyone, if you are interested, you can buy brand new rear brembo calipers from amazon for just over $100;

go to amazon and search;

ACDelco 172-2503 OE Service Rear Brake Caliper Without Brake Pads and Bracket

and

ACDelco 172-2502 OE Service Rear Brake Caliper Without Brake Pads and Bracket

you will still need the pin/clip kit, rotors, pads and hoses.

rear rotor on amazon is less than $65 ea;

ACDelco 177-1051 OE Service Rear Brake Rotor

the pin/clip kit from O'reilly is H5809, or this one from amazon; $16.24

ACDelco 18K1970X Professional Durastop Rear Brake Caliper Kit

hoses at amazon; $75.01 pair

ACDelco 176-1706 ACDELCO OE SERVICE HOSE ASM-RR BRK

ACDelco 176-1707 ACDELCO OE SERVICE HOSE ASM-RR BRK

pads you are on your own, too many to choose from, anywhere from $35 to $100.

so, for about $325 plus pads you can have all brand new stuff.

it is what i did, except i got my rotors (DBA) , pads (Hawk), hoses (Goodridge) and pin/clip kit (O'reilly) elsewhere because i went with non oem stuff for a bit more money.

just an option for those that want brand spankin' new parts. if not, i understand.

Thanks for the info! This is for the SS setup and not the V6? I'm at work so I can't check the links right now.

I have the new Brembo pads sitting at my house.
