Saving My Camaro from Hurricane Isaac
Tropical storm Isaac heading our way in South Florida. Could turn into Cat 1 in couple days. My house? Nahhh...I'm worried about my Camaro! How can I protect my beauty from the nasty storm headed our way!?!?
No garage. No car cover, yet. This SUCKS |

Rent a POD? Store it in a neighbors or buddies garage?

Stated above rent a pod and have them sit it on cinder blocks for elevation if you've got some ramps

No cover or garage in Florida so it's gotten wet before clearly.. Have you ever been through a hurricane? It's really no big deal - especially a category one. Just try not to park near any telephone poles or trees and you'll be fine with debris. Don't park in low areas - which I doubt there are many as it's Florida... No prep needed...just be smart about it. If I hear in a few days that a 100 lb branch fell on your car I'll know you weren't... But good luck and don't worry about it - I wouldn't. |

All my friends w/ garages have no room. For now, I'm parking car close to house as possible, and in most aerodynamical positioning as possible. |

Wow, some strong winds just swept by, 40-50 mph gust, and flooding in a hurry. Darn "feeder bands".

If it keeps coming our way I'm going to put my Camaro under the carport closest to the wall, my mothers Equinox to block the other side, and my truck outside to block both of them. The back of the house covers the other side across from the patio. Not too worried about it. Business as usual on the gulf coast.

Craziness! I lived in central Florida for a year and all we ever got were afternoon drizzles. A little jealous. Best of luck though!

Awhile back when there was hail storms (I think in the northern states) one guy on here put bigg layered beach towels on his car. That might help
Now Adams should start making beach towels

I think I would park it in the center of the closest parking deck at least one level up from the bottom.

If it were me, I would take a few days of vacation out if the storms path. Problem solved
