I can tell you from when i was driving the car that when I did anything other than basicly granny shifting the car to 2nd the clutch would slip very badly, so I can imagine you shifting the car easily to not get any clutch slippage. Once we install the new clutch we can go to our local track and get some real times.

Sounds good and put some freakin slicks on that thing so you can launch it for real too instead of having to ease it off the line.

Yikes! Get some stickies on that bad boy! I have run a 9.301 N/A and hang out around 9.4-9.5 not getting traction through 1st and some of 2nd. Cant wait to see what this bad boy will do when you get it to hook!!!

How are these turbo manuals holding up? Considering bone stock they all grind 1st to 2nd with a fast shift...

Can't speak to te FI but after a few rounds w GM I finally got the grind taken care of. They came out with carbon blockers but for one reason or another they kept the same part number. Mine is doing well, going to add IdealG's master cylinder and stand alone reservoir just as an extra.

May take me a day or 2 to get them from my dealer, I actually just had the whole transmission replaced rather than a rebuild, but I'll see what I can do!

Wait WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????????? ??? Is GM finally muscling up over this? Can you possibly PM me some print outs of all your receipts and such? I'd love to go get this fixed on my car and I'd like to go in with fire power. My car has grinded from day 1 and at this point I've just chalked it up as a failing of the car I'll have to live with. If I can get this fixed, it will honestly SIGNIFICANTLY change my ownership experience with the car. |

I am with Darkness. I switched to Royal Purple and it has been much better, but still not perfect. Sorry if the thread went on a tangent, but this dang 2nd gear grinding is the pits! Really my only complaint about the car.

Working on finding receipts etc for you all, my schedule is pretty crammed and I have family in town this week but I'll do my best!
