Door slam sound

My doors don't slam 'cleanly'. Seems there's a bit too much metal on metal sound. Can this be adjusted? Maybe I'm being too picky.

You need Dynamat on the inner doors. This car has NO insulation.

My driver door has been like that since I got it, just learned to live with it. I am going to ask the dealer about it next time it's in since you have the issue to.

I think part of the noise is the window lowering and raising as the door closes.

I know what op is talking about, as Ive noticed this as well. Even when you close the door lightly it sounds bad, almost cheap. Part of it is the window indexing as door is closed. I know it's not just my car either, this is my second Camaro and both did it. It's not really a big deal for me but would like it to close a little cleaner if possible.

Its definitely not the nice clean thud sound that I was hoping to hear when I first got my Camaro, but now I know its normal and thats just the way it is.

Its the window, it rattles a bit. Normal and just one of the problems with the car.

The Camaro has windows that automatically drop when you open them. This helps the glass clear the seal when opening. When you close the door the glass raises back into the sealed position. This make the Camaro much better for a frameless glass design. Better for wind noise at speeds in particular.

To prove this, close your door hold your hand on the glass all the way to fully closed. Do you notice a difference in the sound? You should. As CSM088 says, it is the glass that rattles just a bit before it can go back up in to the seal.

No insulation in the world fixes this.

They actually designed this in so it would take me back to the sounds of my 67 camaro. Pretty neat when i walk away with the door closing I hear the noise and feel 17 again...
