There are some really good techniques now used by lock smiths. Wedges and air and the like minimize damage to the car. I'd go this route, if time is pressing. If not keep looking for the keys. Bet you a hundred bucks as SOON as you have someone unlock it the keys will show up!!

I'd use the roadside assistance.

Sorry to hear about being locked out of your vehicle ZZZ. Unfortunately without connecting through the Blue OnStar Button there is no way for us to connect to the vehicle to send the signals. It doesn’t have a connection through your VIN it's the unit itself that we need to activate. Hopefully you can find a locksmith that can unlock it without any damages. If you need any assistance locating a locksmith OnStar can locate one in your area for you.

A friend of mine recently locked his keys in his Camaro and OnStar had lapsed. He called GM roadside assistance. With the VIN, they cut him a new key and brought it to him. I don't think they charged for the service or the key.

Since no one has said it yet... the keys are in the last place you'll look!!

But seriously that is a horrible feeling. I have pretty much OCD with my keys, if I'm at home they're either in one of two spots: in my pockets or on the hook.

Also I was real surprised to find out the Camaro doesn't have something similar to what my G6 has. If you pushed the lock button on the door of the car it chimed and wouldn't lock till 15 secs after you shut all doors. Not that I have locked my keys in but it was nice because I had 15 sec if I forgot something.

How did the door lock with the spare sitting on the passenger seat? I thought the doors won't lock if a transponder is in the vehicle?

I have hit the door lock button multiple times while the transponder was in my hand and still technically "in the car" but I had the door open, that may have negated it.

Of course this does not work on cars with the unlock buttons on the door.
Damn, that requires some skill, lol.

Not true I have been locking my vehicle with no issues with a spare inside of it.

Not sure what gave you that idea but it works fine with another key in the vehicle.
