Seems to me the south has its fair share of terrible moments over the last decade or 2. All we have to do up here is wear a jacket and we're good, not even earthquakes trouble us. Sometimes when you folks come home from work your house is gone. That would be more troubling I think.

You all do have great food though.

It has been freezing here. We had windchills as low as -60.

Just to show you how awesome the LLT is, I was able to start my car, after sitting outside in -19 weather (air temp.) for 43 hours without running, it started up the first time. No block heater. I'll be getting one of those next winter.

I wish I had a remote start. Would be so nice. Gotta love getting in a cold car, and having the "heat" blow even colder air on you. But yeah living in the Chicagoland area is where it's at. Cold winters make you appreciate the warm summer even more.

Suppose to hit a record high of 80 here today. Probably have to put the top down on the way home...

No weather problems in San Antonio...

If a hurricane makes it this far inland, it just drops a bunch of water.
We're close enough to the hill country that tornadoes are an extremely rare occurence.
Flooding is a non-issue. We're about 770 feet above sea level
The oil spill that happened in the gulf was horrible, but it had relatively no impact on south Texas.

Oh, and here's the forecast:

-5F are you kidding me. On my way to work yesterday morning mine read -30F. This morning it read even colder at -34F. I think it might be reading about 5 degrees colder than what it actually was though.

Dean.

High of -26c for tomorow, the low tonight -32c and it will feel like -44c with wind chill. I think -44 celsius is also -44f.
