Maybe we should have a header install party. I have headers in a box waiting to be installed. That makes 3 of us, that I know of, ready to install.

Fact is, I don't know when I'm going to find time to install.

So I'm guessing that you guys will be able to drive the car without a tune?

I think we're good enough to drive to get it tuned, right?

I didn't know if you could run it for awhile without a tune, and what that would mean. They changed all of the smilies when they did the upgrade and merged the user database with corvette7.com.

I thought that's what I'd read, but it's been a long while.

OOoo Sounds like my kind of party! I'm probably waiting until summer to do headers/cat-back/cutouts all at once though. By then I'm sure you guys will have some great advice on what to look out for!

I read post after post, thread after thread about the stock oil pumps! Only a few had issues with them at the time, a lot of folks said there was nothing wrong with them! So when I did the cam install, Vengeance said time and time again to change it! I didn't! So the $150 oil pump swap cost me a lot more than I wanted to spend! That's why I rather be safe than sorry now!
Holy shit.... 10k?! What is this "stock oil pump problem"? Can't believe this is the first time I'm hearing about this... I was always under the impression if the pump failed the car's computer would shut everything down to save the engine. Now you have me worried! (I'm on a 2010 L99)

The car warns you...but if "you" keep driving...well then. The oil pumps have a possibility of getting a valve stuck in them. Covered under warranty even if you have mods because this is a known issue. I wouldn't go out and replace it unless I already had the engine apart. Blake's has gone out, and his was fixed under warranty. Scott's car also had extra parts mysteriously show up inside the valve cover after his shop worked on it the first time. And no...10k didn't just get him back to where he was!
