I was in the same boat as you a few months ago. At that time they were about the same price so it came down to me basing it on a few things. For me I just like the looks of the jackshaft style better because it had a more symmetric look. Also, I wanted to have more of a whine. The jackshaft style gave me the option of adding the 1:1 cog drive to give me the sound I was looking for without increasing the boost. I am sure you will be happy with either system... they are both great blowers.

I think my biggest concern with either is the belt. Not a fan of belt driven. Do you guys have many problems with losing the belt or slipping? I had a friend with a mustang a few years back and would get stranded bc the belt would break.

I have only had mine on for a few weeks so have not seen any belt slippage yet... tire slippage... yes.

There are very very few issues with belts breaking, especially at lower boost levels.

Belt slippage is a side effect of higher boost levels as well.

i've got the jackshaft style with the basic 10rib underdrive rear & didn't see slip til i went to a 2.9" front 6rib pulley for 11psi on my LS1
