Thank you for the review! And, as always, that paint is so damn perfect.

have you used the fine autoscrub for the DA? I got hooked up with one a long time back before they were on most sites and its been a key part of my work for a while now. Phil at DD uses it religiously now as well and its been a proven time saver for a lot of people.

see, I got the towel before that came out and didn't want to dish out another $50 for that.

And I see a few issues with it, it would be very difficult to get in the curved areas or small areas (6" or 4" both are big).

I can't image much, if any, tactile feedback over the vibration of the machine.

But I can see it being an absolute beast on flat panels.

I don't think I'll be getting it, but those are just some of the things I thought of WITHOUT using it, so I could be wrong.

What do you think?

Gotcha, well for big SUV with flat panels its a kills and that is a majority it gets used for in my work. Other wise I still like to use clay on rockers and such that really get nailed, especially since when i was a rep I got a buncha bars left over haha. If you ever if a flat panel work truck you can KILL it with the DA pads, I'm not kidding when I say I finish most large work trucks with it under 20 min every time. For most cars the 4" is great, but since most of my work has been with Ferrari's and high end when on those I dont use much else besides traditional clay though.

Yeah I bet it's an absolute beast on the flat panels. How's the tactile feedback, if any?

It seems like you pretty much need something else to fully clay a car if you're using the pad though, which I'm not entirely sure I like. At least, not for $50 bucks!

Theres a bit but not really, depended on style of claying you go about doing. but yes you may need to spend a bit more but anyone in the detail world knows you gotta pay to play. In the end I dont think I've paid for any claying/autoscrub products for almost 3 years now since I was send a box of DA pads haha so I guess my view is kind of skewed. If you talk to any experienced detailer they not very likely stick on one product of process and are continuously working to making their process better, Jimmy at Lucci Elite is a great example. Since my work is mostly high end and not time pressing I have no problem taking longer and pushing a detail out 2-3 days tops. Think ill have to pick up the Nanoskin Wash Mitt from phil at DD here soon as it seems those are going like hot cakes.

Looks like a nice product but I just bit the bullet earlier this week and ordered the speedy prep towel so I probably won't try it for a while. The paint on my Camaro only needs some minor corrections but my extended cab Silverado is a swirled mess after two plus years of normal use and winters. The speed of the towel over clay is important to me when working on such a large vehicle.

Nice I think you'll love it. Honestly, if you have the towel, there's no need to get one of these, and with such a big truck, I think you made the right choice!
