I have found the following products to work well for me to maintain the factory flat look.
1. Meguiar's Gold Class Car Wash Soap or Dr. Beasley's Matte Paint Car Wash - Both work equally as well for me. 2. Dr. Beasley's Matte paint Sealant - Very easy to apply and works great to seal up the hood wrap and allow future water to bead up and run right off the hood. 3. Dr. Beasley's Matte Paint Cleanser - I like this for spot cleaning if something like bird crap or a big bug hits the hood and I want to make sure I clean it well. 4. Wizards "Wipe Down" for matte paint. Works great as a final detailer just to lightly clean/dust the hood wrap or I use it following the Dr. Beasley's Cleanser to make sure there isn't a streaky look on the hood after using the cleanser.

Thanks to all Tried VRT see pics
I finally tried the Adams Super VRT and here are some pictures.
Pictures 1, 2, and 3 are in the garage with flash. The hood looks natural, but it isn't. The Flash hides the blackness and sheen of it. Pictures 4 and 5 are in garage with no flash. There you can see some streaks and the sheen and that it looks more black. The last pictures are with natural light in garage with no flash. Again it looks gray. I wiped it down again after these pictures and put some Turtle wax detailer the premium ice version.(By the way this detailer and liquid wax are awesome). That got rid of streaks and made it all smooth. But and its a big buttttt!!! The finished product does not look like any of the pictures, not because of the detailer but because the camera just doesn't show what it looks like. With no VRT the wrap looks like gray, a dark gray but gray. With the VRT it looks like black with a slight sheen. Almost exactly like the spoiler on our 1LE's. I like it, its different, maybe cool. Wish I could show you what only my eye will see. Tomorrow I will try and take pictures outside. Not worried if I don't like it I'm sure some soap and exposure to sun will bring it back to original. I'll keep you updated. Bottom line if you don't like the satin black sheen on spoiler don' t use VRT, because it comes out almost exactly like that. Jim

After dealing with water spots the day of vehicle delivery, a little mothers' black to black matte finish works great. I truly didn't want any of the young guys at the dealer trying to do anything to clean it. Apply mothers' liberally, wipe clean, buff with a clean MF, no spots, no streaks, leaves it clean with the proper vinyl matte finish it was intended to have.

Update and what I do now.
It turns out the combination of Super VRT on only once. Then I washed it with soap and water gives me exactly what I want. It now matches the spoiler perfectly, and i can keep it that way and I have for weeks now with just the 'Meticulous Matte Black Finish' from Chemical Guys.
It is exactly what I hoped for. Warning, it does make the wrap look more black. Originally from the factory it looks a little too gray for my taste. The Super VRT and CG products make it look a little blacker, a little shinier, but I likkiee. ![]() Jim |

I used VRT 2x on my hood since I took delivery in April. It holds up about 3 months for me and looks great the whole time and is resistant to staining and spotting. After application just wash and dry with a little detail spray. Looks perfect 99% of the time.

I agree. Not hard to keep clean. Just a little trial and error to find the look that you want.
