It isn't an issue if the mirrors are adjusted properly. There is no reason to have to look out the rear window. With the mirrors properly adjusted you will see the car either in the rear view mirror or you can see it looking out the driver or passenger window. There are no blind spots nor will you need blind spot mirrors.

The mirrors aren't worth a damn when backing out of a parking space, especially if parked on a public road with another car next to you. The biggest blind spot is when backing up and trying to see if a car is coming from the right side.

Properly adjust mirrors along with a heavy right foot have not left me in a bad position yet.

you would think on such an expensive car they would have added those little wide angle blind spot mirrors into the side mirrors to make seeing out of the camaro somewhat easier. I just think for the money, since cheapo cars like the chevy sonic has them incoorportated into their side mirrors, an expensive 60k car would have them too.

It's so ****ing simple!

This ZL1 being my 4th Camaro there is a formula even my epic fail of a driver for a girlfriend listened to and it worked. When you look in your mirrors on each side the thing kind of looks like this

<___> except it has a top. So what you need to do is align both of your mirrors to see the back hump of your car right at the tip of the triangle facing the car on each side. ill post a pic if you didn't get what I mean.

While I have not had any issues knowing where people are on the road I only wish the car had the sensors to detect cars in the blind spots and display that on the mirror.

Agreed!
I have a road here in town that T's, if you will, at about a 30 degree angle and I have to look out the passenger side of the car and behind me....and I can never see anything.
Parking spots are similar.

Adjust your mirrors so that anything that is going out of view of your rear view mirror will be coming into view in your side mirror as if its one image but split into to...and visa versa. Does that make sense?

I read the best way to begin setting this up is this: To adjust the passenger mirror, put your head in the middle of the cabin while sitting in the drivers seat and adjust the mirror until you can barely see the side of the car. Now for the drivers side, place you head close to the window and adjust the mirror until you can barely see the side of your car.

I did this, and with just a slight adjustment to the drivers side, I have ZERO blind spots going down the road.

As others have said...people need to learn to use their mirrors correctly and not use the side mirrors to see behind the car while is what the rear view mirror is for.

I have adjusted the mirrors in my truck similar to this as well. The only problem in the Camaro is backing into a parking spot.

It amazes me how many people have no idea how to use their mirrors. You aren't supposed to turn your head over your shoulder and take your eyes off the road in front of you.
