There will still be gains to be made, but I wouldn't expect to see 500 hp from changing just a few 1s and 0s
You may be right, but I don't see why it couldn't get close. If not, then I say it would be due to the size of the turbos not being large enough to boost the HP to those levels at high rpms. I'm sure they are sized for more low and mid range torque.

But it has a lot left in it....I can't see any reason it couldn't easily go 450HP/475TQ.....minimum. I'd bet on that right now. Hell, the GM 4 bangers are pushing 380 - 390 crank TQ on just a tune.

I reason that b/c the new LFX turbo builds coming out now are usually landing well into the 400+ rwhp/tq range, which means those builds are making around 500/500 at the crank but I realize that is a custom turbo.

Anyways...not trying to argue anything and not trying to derail the thread. We will see soon enough when a tuner gets their hands on one of these bad boys.

CTS Vsport is not a replacement for the CTS-V. The new CTS-V is comming, and will almost certainly have a force-fed LT series V8.

Nope they just made it better by offering a middle model allowing the buyers that want more but can't afford the big dawg to play. Just ashamed it couldn't be a few grand cheaper but that's GM for ya.

If you want that level of performance, get a Camaro SS.
If you want that level of luxury, get a regular CTS.
If you want both, $$$$

guess it helps if I actually read the article instead of looking at the pictures lol. Thanks for clarification

They are building the CTS-V for 2014 (old body style). There's nothing new on this model vs. the 2013, except for a few exterior colors. Still, I'm glad I got the 2014 CTS-V. Mine is the Red Obsession, one of the new colors. Maybe the new CTS will grow on me, but I don't really like the look of the redesign.
