Michelin Tire
I see a lot of threads here about people worrying about the GY's exploding in cold weather.
But, I have yet to see one where someone has ACTUALLY bought the Michelin's and tried them out. HAS anyone bought these? If so, what are your impressions? I am a couple of weeks away from making the purchase. If I am the only one, I will post a brief write up...

Your question is not specific enough...
Are you talking about Pilot Super Sport or Pilot All Season?

Either or both. That is my problem. I am undecided as to which tire to get.
I assume that the Pilot Super Sport sticks better, but the All Season is probably better in the wet.

I just drove across the country (AZ to NY) after purchasing the Michellin Pilot Sport A/S 3 from Costco. ($309 ea; $70 rebate if purchase 4)
It was a downpour for about a day and a half of the trip and they performed perfectly. No trouble with traction whatsoever. From what I can tell, they are quality tires that will enable us to drive in all sorts of temperatures and conditions. While I will not be driving my car in the snow, I'm sure you could do that if necessary with these tires. |

Thanks Tom. We don't get much snow in NC, but in Dec and Jan it can dip below 30 for a couple of days at a time.

I just put them on my 1LE and I like them better than the OEM Goodyear F1s by a long shot! Quieter, better ride, handle great in the rain, (we've had tons of it of late), and look better as well. I have never had an issue with a Michelin tire other than its cost.
