Not proud of it but wreck on the street running a blank with my chevelle. The speed the oncoming blank said he clock me @141 before moving out of the way because he thought i was jumping the guard rail. The blank behind couldn't get a lock on! I don't mess around on the street any longer because of it. The skid mark was 1100ft before stopping.I ended up dropping two highway light poles and a exit sign. After the investigation it turn out i had recaps in the back, the left one came apart at speed. Tires were on car when i bought it! For the track I built a 64 nova ground up with 454 stroke with power glide. Fastest i went all motor was 5.70 @119MPH 1.01 60ft. The nova used to make me pucker up every time i release the trans brake button! I have picture and video I'll look for and post.

Officially, my 5th gen... 203.4 mph in a standing mile... Unofficially I was at 217 mph at the 3/4 mile mark when I lifted a head and blew the head gasket... So, my current 5th gen is the fastest car I've ever driven... I still haven't had the chance to really spray it either... So these runs were on boost only...
Standing mile is a one mile standing start go as fast as you can... I did achieve the fastest standing half mile at 183.7 mph on street tires and not on a prepped track... It's an old runway...

Fastest ive been to date on the strip was 10.10 at 130mph in a Doug Foley dragster. 143 in my buddies 94 Firebird elsewhere.

It's a tossup between my previous C6Z and 2013 GT500. I know there are faster cars out there (some mentioned in this thread), but those were white knuckle rides for me.

Nascar stock car. Lol. That's what made me decide to buy my 1LE. It was the only car that I could find, new, that handled anywhere close to the stock car, for under $40,000.

My 1978 Firebird formula did 120mph (Indiana State Police confirmed) back in 1993 but I'm pretty sure my 1LE will go over that if I could find a safe place to take it after the engine is broke in...
