The Texas mile does not allow any drag radials or drag tires of any kind. I talked to a M&H tire rep on the phone and he told me they did not recommend attempting any kind of sustained speed run with their tires. 1/2 mile max. The soft rubber compound does not handle the sustained heat of very high speed driving like the road racing tires will. I suspect the Mickey Thomspon tires are better at taking sustained speed than the M&H but they are not speed rated either. I think if you like to drive fast and want more traction than the stock tires you need to run road racing tires.
