Rim size

Hey guys,
I am thinking about running a raked setup, with 245/45-20 up front, and a 315/35-20 out back. Can anyone forsee any problems with this setup?? I will not be roadcoursing or anything, just would like to know if this may cause some handling issues.......

TIA,
HG

If you're not racing or anything I don't think a 315 is necessary. Personally I would go with a 295 or 305 just to save a few $$. If you don't mind spending a little more for a wider tire then go for it. Just make sure your wheel is wide enough for a 315.

Thanks a lot! I will be doing a little drag racing, therefore I thought that the factory 245 up front would be okay.

That combo will work fine for driving around and straight-line stuff. Out on a road course, however, the narrow front tires will educate you quickly about understeer and mowing grass.

Thanks Tony!! The car is a DD, and I love the aggressive raked look. I tend to also do a lot of highway driving, so I hope that the 245 will be fine.

I run Nitto Invos 275/ 40/ 20 on 9" rims front and 315/35/20 on 10" rears, 35 offset on TSW Nurburgs. Should be a 10.5" rim on back, but works great. This combo better for handling then 245 front, and the tire diameter still same front/back as stock

Agreed this car responds well to 275/315 daily driving or road coarse but i run a 9" rim up front and a 11" outback...
