Opti Eraser ??

Has anyone used the Opti Eraser or CG Clay Block? Did it work pretty well? How did you like it compared to clay?

Thx

I have the CG clay block. It's fine for real light duty contamination removal, but that is about it. When I did my yearly clay and polish detail last year I used it. I ended up breaking out my clay for my lower quarter panels and hood because it just wasn't getting the job done on some of the heavier contamination.

With time and patience I probably would've been able to do it, however I was able to remove contamination 3 times as fast with regular clay. My CG clayblock now sits in a drawer in my detail cart and I really only use it for glass now.

Honestly, the Opti-Eraser is just okay... If you are looking to go the synthetic way -which is a great option- consider something like the Nanoskin AutoScrub pads or Speed Towel.

Thanks a lot for the input. After doing more research on the speedy prep towel, sounds like that may be for me. I'm finding nothing but good things about that thing. I think I'll give it a shot

I was one of the very first people to review it, and my conclusion still stands. Not a huge fan:
