Not always true.... Myself I'm using it a a Tax deduction on my wife's business. Rather than doing a deduction on mileage, we use the payments over the life of the loan. In my case we want the payments to reduce our tax burden ....

Now that is not fair......

I am 32 years old with no mortgage and I financed my car. I have 2 kids that are spoiled rotten so saving $37,000 is not a option right now. Saving for college is.....

$600 72 months

I'm looking at probably $650/month once I buy.

I was a little skittish about that till I started paying down my truck to get in a position to buy the Camaro. I've been paying an extra $2000/month in addition to my normal $325 payment on the truck without issue so another $325/month should be cake.

You put your Camaro before your kids college!!! For the same 72 month period, I hope you are putting $600 a month in your kids college savings fund (total= $43,200 towards college)!!!

Of course I am not putting a silly car first!
I have my priorities in order.

I pay for my Camaro painting Hot Wheels as a matter of a fact. Simply funny money to support my real car hobby. Check it out.....

Those going for 72 months will regret it, it may be the only way for you to afford it, but if you keep it for the life of the loan, it will seem like forever. 6 years is a lot of intrest.

4.89, 2SS, 48 months, around 710.00 per month. Why, because I can afford to.

Are you sure you added TT&l? I calculated mine (2SS/RS/GFX/silver rallies/pollished 20s for $38,630 msrp) + TT&L would be about 40k and I'm putting 14k down @ 5% at just under 500 for 5 years.
