Nitrogen filled tires??

That's not true, nitrogen is what the air we breath is made most of. 80% or more. The only reason nitrogen is used, is it has no moister in it to mess the TPMS up. We use nitrogen in aircraft for high pressure, if you have dry air tires can be filled with that. How does anyone know if the installer is using nitrogen or air? Do you have a way to prove that? Nitrogen will leak just like air.

Air you breath is 78% nitrogen! it takes a very expensive machine to get 100% nitrogen. There is no compressor that separates N2 for a low cost.
Should never pay for nitrogen, air will work if dry, or use out a bottle. The so called compressors that say they make 100% nitrogen is BS.

All nitrogen is used for is dry, compressed into a small tank for on the track, and very high pressure.

Nitrogen is very cheap if you but it in bulk form (liquid) I have almost 1500 gallons on hand right now. Liquid Nitrogen is extremely pure normally 99.998% or greater and has no moisture when delivered as it is 320 degrees below zero in the liquid state and an expansion ratio of 1:694. Nitrogen will extinguish a match if you place it in a container filled with the gas but compressed air will support combustion.

Yes that's the only way to get 100% but that's not worth doing.

To get 99% nitrogen they liquify it do they not?

If I'm not mistaken their all Camaro's are sold with Nitrogen filled tires? At least mine were when I still had my stock tires and rims on, not that I need nitrogen here in Arizona, but hey.

I fill mine up with Helium, makes the tires lighter.




It is a waste to have 100% Nitrogen filled tires on a DD, unless you get it for free. Considering like posted above the good old air we breath is 78% Nitrogen.
