Brake Help ASAP Please!
Did my research on changing the pads on the Brembo's in a couple nice writeups on this site. However, there was no mention of what in the hell these round "wheel" looking things were on the back of the caliper, nor how to remove them. I am going to guess they were put on by GM to help reduce the infamous brake squeal? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just got my brake pads replaced at my local performance shop and I replaced them with Hawk HPS. The performance just removed those "wheels" and was told that I don't really need them unless I'm using stock brake pads again. It's been three days with the new brake pads and haven't noticed any unusual noise or vibrations from the brakes.

Yep, they're harmonic dampers for noise control AKA, "Roller skates"
