Adams New Tire Shine Review
This is my review on the new Adams Tire Shine. You can take it for what it's worth. I am a big proponent of wheel tire shine products that have a strong luster and no sling. The application that I chose was to let the product sit on the tires for 20 minutes before touching up. I did like the Adams VRT product and the test was to see how it compared with the new Tire Shine. I think the product gets an 8 out of 10 for myself and here are the pros and cons.
Pros: Easy to apply Nice luster Smells good. Cons: Cleaning up residue on rims and fenders was kind of a pain. Having said all that, it's a great product and I wish the application to get the extreme gloss was similar to the VRT in which you just spray on an applicator and rub on the tires. Maybe in the future.

Thanks for the review, those tires look GREAT!
You hit the nail in the head about the clean up, it can be a little tricky, especially if the surfaces it gets on are warm/hot. On low profile tires, I prefer to spray it into an applicator first, then spread it around. This minimizes the overspray and makes clean up easy. |

Thanks Nick. I agree with you. I just like to get the most extreme shine possible. Keep up the good job. My garage is getting more and more like an Adams advertisement.

This can be layered to increase shine, correct? So if you want that extreme shine of just spraying on, can't you use an applicator 2-3 times to save on clean up?
That's more time consuming, obviously, but when I do my car it's an all-day event anyways, so what's adding another coat or two as the day progresses? |

Adams New Tire Shine Review
If only the brake dust from te ZL1s didn't get caught in the shine, but it is my favorite tire shine. I was very satisfied with this product. No sling, great shine. I prefer this over VRT, which didn't last long on tires.

Yep, you can definitely layer it if you're looking for more shine.

Off topic Nick, but was wondering if a "new" Americana is in the works or if it is perfection already...

No plans to reformulate Americana right now. You're safe to buy a pot.

I like the shine, but the sprayer on the bottle is terrible. It is too thick to spray, and just splatters a stream of product in 4 directions at one time. I don't know how anyone could possibly spray it directly onto the tire without it making a giant mess.

Wow they made that a whole lot greasier than it was in testing.
I agree with you guys on the sprayer. I usually just put it on the stream setting and just do a thin line around the tire rather than try to spray.

You guys are right about the sprayer, it's awesome for the rest of the sprayable products, but it stinks for the Tire Shine since it's thicker.
We have 2 different sprayers we are testing right now that we will include with Tire Shine in the future. For the time being, you can swap out one of our old sprayers if you have one lying around which work great, or the Kwazars atomize it really nicely as well. I have an old sprayer in mine and it works much better. Tire Shine on my brand new tires. Just gave them a quick scrub down with APC, then applied a light coat of Tire Shine. It soaked up a TON of it, which was to be expected. |

So why do they ship this out with sprayers they know don't work?
