I couldn't park my Camaro along a Baltimore City street. Especially so close to the really wrong side of town. Glad they left your car unharmed other than the window. I love the Imperial Blue SS's.

Were the Maui Jims in the case? And they didn't take anything?

Yep, they left them there, as well as the Escort Passport 9500ix still in the case, EZPass, and other goodies.

Must have been looking for money or drugs. I don't keep money in the car, and the only drugs that were there was a carton of Gas-X (which the left, lol) .

Man, I am sorry to hear that. That's a terrible thing to see when you come out in the morning. More than likely they were just mad because they could never afford one.

Must've been for money. I've been hearing about cars getting broken into just for the change. In fact we had some kids come check our cars on our driveway one night to see if any were open. My moms was and they only took the change. Not the GPS, her sunglasses (expensive brand dunno which one though), or some other items that we thought would've been taken. Our neighbors had a laptop stolen the same night so that could be why...

Glad its been fixed though and nothing was stolen.

Also curious about which Maui Jim's you have? Been looking into getting a pair but cannot seem to put my Costa's down lol

I found a pile of broken/ crumbled automotive safety glass, so I scooped it up, put it in a container, and brought it to work.

On Monday, one of my co- workers had left his keys sitting on his desk. When he wasn't looking, I swiped them, got into his car, rolled the driver's side window down, and sprinkled the broken glass all around, some on the ground, some on the driver's seat.

I came back inside, surreptitiously returned the keys, and then asked Josh, "Dude! How did your window get broken?!?"

He went out to his car, and was more than dismayed at what he saw. He was pissed off, bummed out, the whole works. However, just before he started dialing the cops, I mentioned that I'd heard that his make/ model had a "spare window," and if he'd let me borrow the keys for a moment, I could probably get it "activated." Yes, he thought that was about the stupidest thing he'd ever heard, but gave me his keys. I flipped the key, pressed the window "up" button, and have never seen such utter amazement on ANYBODY'S face as Josh's when that window rose up out of the sill.

It was probably a full 10 seconds before he realized that I was NOT a miracle worker, but a prankster instead.

TOTALLY worth the effort.

Wow that really sucks. Ya thieves are dumb, most of the time the window costs more than whatever they take. My dad had a 95 Sierra and was on a job in Baltimore city when a guy broke his back window to steal a Dewalt drill from the back seat. Best part was, the doors were unlocked! My dad was so pissed that they guy broke the window, didn't care about the drill lol.

Wow that sucks, but if they didn't steal anything it looks more like vandalism than attempted theft.

Yup. Had my '82 Camaro broken into... they destroyed the CD player and changer while trying to rip the components out (half of the critical parts remained attached!), they made a freakin' mess, stole stuff that's personal (worthless to anybody but me)... while cash and tools were untouched.

Did thousands of dollars of damage to ME, and they got nothing of any value out of it. Nothing.

I'm ruling out vandalism since everything that was in the glove box or center console was thrown all over the car. What's more amazing to me is that passersby did NOT steal anything. I guess there still are honest people.

^^^ Not to hyjack, but did you try a pressure washer? I had a friend get road line paint on her car, was quoted over $500 to fix it. I spent an afternoon with my 3800 PSI pressure washer, got it all off and didn't damage the car at all.
