Do a search on cars.com and put the dealer range to about 100 miles. More importantly, use the keyword of ZL1 at the bottom of your search and you will filter the list accordingly. It will quickly tell you what's around your area code within those 100 miles.

Good luck.

Good luck! I know you will find some to consider but you may need to out further than 100 miles at this point. Sales are heavy at this point.

Regardless - whatever the distance, the ZL1 is worth the drive!

Heck yeah dude. Just did a search within 150 miles on cars.com there were 24 matches but only 2 summit white and they were both auto. Ugh.ugh.ugh. like 10 black ones though -_-

Beautiful and congrats on a beast of a car.

On the break in,
It's in you manual. The guys who engineered the car to perform the way it does are the guys I listen to breaking in my ZL. But by all means listen to the guys on on-line who know more than the engineers who designed it if you like.

Onto more exciting business…

Last Saturday, I traded in my paid-off 2010 IOM 2SS/RS and purchased a 2015 Triple Black, fully loaded ZL1 on the 20% discount announcement. Its got the Recaro seats and Nav. I bought it @Heritage Chevrolet Buick in Owings Mills, MD.

The price they gave me was $49,300 on a $62,315 sticker. The Chevy discount IS FOR REAL. I was really lucky in that I was calling around the Washington DC area for a ZL1 and found one at Pohanka Chevy in Chantilly, VA. But that was short-lived as the salesman at Pohanka gave me the bad news that it was already sold as soon as I arrived. This particular ZL1 didn’t have the Recaro seat so it wasn't meant to be and perhaps a sign for me to find the right one. Indeed Heritage Chevrolet was the place.

The next day, I drove about an hour to Owings, Mills spending some last moments with my IOM SS knowing full well that I was going to drive away with a different car. About 4 hours of waiting and signing papers ( the dealership was rather busy that day because of the discounts ) I took delivery of a ZL1 and like someone else said on another post…I felt like I was stealing.

As I was getting ready to leave the dealership there were about 3 calls to come and buy the car.

Christmas has been great to me. I’m extremely lucky. Now I’m off to read up on every detail that this beast of machine has as well as the welcome videos posted on Camaro5. In a couple of days, I will get a clearbra installed for the complete front part of the car, rocker panels and both doors. Gotta protect this investment if I'm gonna track this beauty.

Here are some pics...
Very nice price! Good for you. Does the $49.3k include the gas guzzler tax and sales tax?

Taxes is a part of life.

The Gas guzzler tax was part of the invoice/price, but you are correct I had to pay sales taxes which amounted to 1900k. I still would have done it. I'd be a fool not too. I can go to any Chevy dealership and use the 24 months of free maintenance and oil changes that came standard with the car. You will find this on any 2015 sticker price of this caliber of a machine. Something that was not offered when the 5th Gen first came out. That alone will nearly makes up for the salestax.

There were items I left off such as the upgraded floor mats and extra lug nuts. In general, 2015 cars are hard to find combined with this deal. Again this was a no brainer and is by far the fastest I have ever said yes to a salesman.

To find such a powerful car sitting in a dealership showroom for at least 6 months with only 12 miles and not a scratch? I truely felt I was stealing and was counting the seconds to leave the dearlership fearing that there was some glitch or mistake on the overall price.

My wife constantly tells me that I'm sooooo lucky to find that car.

She's right.

Good for you. That really is a killer deal. With most things in life, timing is everything. It happened to line up do you. I would have jumped all over that deal.

Great deal for new buyers. All the people that purchased these cars new with a modest discount of 3 or 4 thousand just took a huge hit in resale . Story is even worse for those who bought z28s. Local dealer here has 2014 new z28s for 60,900. Before this new promotion, discounted, these cars were running 72-73,000. Clearly a pricing policy to move cars, with no regard for current owner re sale value
