Shops could be closed today and tomorrow so you may hear something on Friday but keep pushing to find out the problem.

UPDATE. Diagnosis was a failed Slave Cylinder, causing clutch failure. I will have to look into how this happened, but was repaired under vehicle warranty. Going to pick the car up after work. Thanks to Nurse Chevrolet Cadillac, well recommended thus far with my car ownership. Communication was a mistake on my part, giving them the wrong number.

So the final list of repairs was:
New Slave Cylinder Assy. New Friction/Pressure Plate Assy. Flywheel refinishing Now with that said, my car drives extremely different now. Before I had a very tiny engagement point in the clutch. It felt like maybe 1/2 inch from not engaged to fully engaged. Now, 3/4 of the travel of the clutch pedal is the engagement point. I thought I was really bad at manual when I first got the car because I was stalling it in 1st (for the first few days). Now, it feels very smooth, and I am wondering if this is how the car was supposed to be when I first got it. What the problem was is that the slave cylinder was not seating properly, and not fully disengaging/engaging the clutch. From what I read, that wil give you a high engagement point, and a smaller one.

I'm glad you got your car fixed correctly. The slave cylinder is actually a hydraulic throwout bearing on your car. You have to remove the transmission to replace it.
They gave you a new clutch in good faith, that was very nice of them.

Or, it was leaking and ruined the clutch plate.

Congrats on getting your car fixed correctly, I would have been freaking out having to leave mine at a dealer not knowing what was going to happen, (Im OCD)... we need to hear more stories like this where the dealer did a good job!
