Good psi to run

Hopefully my ECS kit will come in this week and i will be taking it to lethal racing for them to install it. I have been talking to some people and they say that running 10lbs of boost to the car without meth would put a lot of strain on it. I really wanted that 550 WHP mark, but if it's going to risk something, I'll let them tune it to 8 at 525. Would that be a bad idea for 10lbs without meth on stock everything? Should I just leave it at 8psi?

There are tons of real articles written by gm Hi teach, gm hi performance, and camaro performers that 6 psi is totally safe the 500 to 520 rwhp mark/600 flywheel. It suggested rods and pistons as the next upgrade for more psi..

That's going by the book.. but your fixing to hear I been running 8, 10, and 12 psi for 2 years now from everyone.. lol

Of course it's all in the tune even at 6psi..

Don't worry about PSI, worry about power. PSI doesn't matter.

Solid 600rwhp is very safe, 700 is safe with good octane meth. How much pressure it takes to get there doesn't matter.

But I'm going to have a 100% stock engine with 550 hp...

Lethal said with 10lbs of boost on a 100% stock enine will be fine for 550 WHP. And I'm just wondering is it ok to run that on a daily driver?

Yes perfectly fine. Local place cranks out bone stock never opened 800rwhp cars all day long. Don't worry about it.

I'd rather do the Lingenfelter GT1 or Lunati 217/228 if you want a drop in cam.

I don't want to go inside the engine right now.

Oh no biggie just was giving better options than the LS9 for a drop in cam.

I like the night fury cams. Or also rhino79 has some good ones too.
