I just finished a long road trip in my 2LT. With the a/c going the whole way, I got 26 mpg and ~450 miles between fill-ups at 7/8ths empty.

2SS/Manual: Getting about 400 miles per tank. On first two tanks of gas, DIC telling me 27 MPG on highway at 70MPH! After oil change at 1600, I average 24-25 on highway with some stop and go. 19MPG around town. By keeping the RPMs under 3k when shifting, and staying under 75 on the highway, MPG is better than I thought. I reset after each tank to check DIC against what tank takes and DIC averages about .5mpg better than true MPG. Still great for 400+ Camaro...

1SS, A6 with about 315 miles on it. I drive both city and highway everyday and DIC shows 17.4 avg. It better start showing me some higher numbers or it's going to get punched

Hmm, you must have missed the threads from the guys with the L99 that are running upper 5 to mid-6 second 0 to 60 runs? Those same guys are losing to Mustangs and, dare I say it, PT Cruisers. Sure as heck sounds like a slow L99 to me.

And yes, I drive a 1LT and its exactly what I needed and wanted. Thanks for noticing...

I filled up yesterday and my DIC showed 351 until empty and I'm also averaging 18.4mpg in my L99 with about 60/40 interstate to city driving ratio.

I've got just over 1,200 miles on my 1SS LS3 (manual), and going by the car's computer (which I checked against by calculating myself the first tank...it seems to be pretty accurate in my car) I'm getting 22.1 MPG average for about 70/30 City/Highway driving. When I hit the interstate to go to and from work I got as high as 26.3 MPG. 25 miles of my 31 mile commute are all interstate. That's with the cruise control set to 65 (the speed limit in my area).

i have a little over 1500 miles on my SS M6. i reset everything every time i fill up so i don't have exact numbers. i averaging around 21 MPG with roughly 50/50 city highway driving. my average speed is around 25 MPH which is the only thing i haven't reset. i'm getting a little over 300 miles per tank while using about 14-15 gallons before fill up

I've done a little testing for myself. These are MY results.

First let me explain... Enroute to work each morning last week I was trying to figure out my MPG's for different Highway cruising speeds. There is a stretch of 20.2 miles of hwy on my trip into work. From the onramp I set the cruise at different speeds each morning. I then reset the MPG setting on the DIC. I recorded the results at the top of the exit ramp 20+ miles later each morning. I figured the trip into work each time so I got a "like test" each time. And the traffic in the early morning works best. Each day it was dry and approximately 70 degrees.........2SS/RS/M6, 4900 miles.

65 MPH.............. 22.4 MPG
70 MPH.............. 23.8 MPG
75 MPH.............. 24.5 MPG
80 MPH.............. 23.2 MPG
85 MPH.............. 20.7 MPG

Take it for what it is....I did the best I could think of.....75 sounds good to me. (but 80 is close enough to 70 that 70 isn't an option!!! hehehehe)
