Does this work and no CEL for a 14 ? Thinking about getting SOLO's for christmas present.
If I get a CEL light, I'm assuming it will not pass inspectionn and I would need to remove the hi flow cats and put the stock ones back on in order to pass?

how far have you driven with this and no CEL? did you put them on top of the solo extenders?

Think they were installed between the extender and the cat. It's been at least 5k miles with no CEL.

That's not quite true, mine show up as N/A and pass emissions testing just fine.

A monitor status of 'N/A' means that the vehicle does not support that monitor, that's why it will pass inspection. Catalyst/O2 monitors are always supported and must read Ready/Complete to pass.

Ok, just saying, NC does OBDII inspections, I have long tubes and high flow cats, no problem passing

There's 4 O2 sensors on the car, the ones up front which obviously have to be working for the Fuel injection to function properly in open loop and then the catalyst efficiency O2 sensors, which are behind the cats. The catalyst efficiency sensors are not required for the engine to function, they're merely there to make sure the cats are function properly.

Maybe OBDII testing is different in NJ, not sure on that part, but that would only apply in your home state, not everywhere.

Interesting, saw where not all NC countys even do emission testing. Also saw where in NC if you fail emission testing due to too many incomplete monitors, or you make a good faith effort to address the problem but can't NC will give you a waiver to pass. Would like if NJ did this too.

Far as I know that waiver is only for one year until the next inspection and you have to provide receipts showing you spent at least $250 to correct the issue.

I don't know of many people if anybody that has ever gone that route, it doesn't really work on modern vehicles. Also in NC you can fail the visual inspection without cats, but long as you have some you should be fine. the N/A on the secondary O2 sensors doesn't cause a fail, if they read incomplete you would fail though.

In NC you can have one readiness test be incomplete or something. I looked it up because my G8 has a rear O2 sensor that is bad. But I figured out how to tune it so all readiness tests pop as complete immediately

I am cammed and my tuner turned off rear o2, with headers and hfc's. No CEL also passed the plug in style emissions.
