The options on the GM are a little weird.
I'm sure it's just a error....

Not sure if you're interested, but I think we're going to sell ours. Purchased 12/23. Here's the link:

Mine has cooling ducts and the diff cooler. They were not options.

You were probably reading the build sheet. If it's still being built, your dealer doesn't have the invoice to share with you yet. I have both, the build sheet and the invoice for mine. I can post photos of the two if you like.

Yes I can. I don't see either option on my build sheet (14) so maybe it is now optional???

copied directly from the overview of the ZL1 on Chevrolet's web site.
Stays cool when the action heats up "Unlike many of its competitors, ZL1 comes fully equipped with factory-integrated auxiliary fluid coolers that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars to install, including a liquid-to-liquid engine cooler typically found on high-end sports cars. The differential cooler is a truly unique design. This innovative system pumps overcooled transmission fluid to a heat exchanger inside the housing that can drop the differential temperature by over 100 degrees. That helps maintain cool, stable performance even during the most aggressive racetrack sessions." The options listed on the Chevrolet web site sometimes really are way off. When pricing my 2015 Malibu LTZ, I saw on the build-it page that they offered center caps for the wheels that have the bow tie emblem on them. Strangely enough, EVERY SINGLE car on the lot no matter what model or trim level, already had them?? Your best bet is to talk to your salesman at the dealer and have him confirm (or not) those options. As shown above, the 2015 ZL1 already comes with a diff cooler. Unless that option is somehow an UPGRADE to the factory diff cooler, it doesn't make any sense. |

Also, note that if you click on those two items on the build-it web page, no picture or description pops up like it does with every other option.
Methinks it's a simple mistake on their web site. |

My understanding was that the diff coolers and brake ducts were standard equipment. I saw the brake ducts first hand on mine.
I have noticed that sometimes the website confuses the options for the camaros. For example, I once saw that they had body colored mudflaps available for ZL1. A quick inspection would tell you that this isn't feasible, and also ZLs come with front and rear wheel well air ducts molded in black. I would look for a sales brochure, or better yet, look at the stickies above. The specs for ZL1 (aside from My link, Recaros, the rear styling and the rear view camera) have essentially remained unchanged from '12-'15.

GM has issues with the "Accessory" (which include dealer installed) portion of the build-your-own and other systems. The accessories are not always appropriate for the exact model. Those two items are part of GM's new performance packages and if you go to the GM Performance Parts information, they will line up with these items:
If you look at the details, the Cooler says for 2010 and up Camaro SS's with manual transmission, and the brake ducts say 2014 and 2015 1LE and SSs. Neither are for the Zl1, and this is just a GM accessory mistake. |
