Completed my trifecta with this 2010 2SS/RS
Hi folks, new here.
Been in the car hobby since high school and have had well over a 100 cars in my lifetime so far. Obviously by the name I've always been a GM guy and have seldom strayed from em. Currently have a 72 Camaro that I just finished restoring from the ground up a few years ago (http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=113094) and a 92 RS that I completed about 10 years ago. Didn't really like the 5th gen when it came out as the ass end didn't impress me, but they've grown on me and I decided I needed one to join the stable. Was looking for a 12 so I'd have 3 of em each 20 years apart but when I saw this one on a local dealers lot I had to have it! Struck a deal a couple months ago and absolutely frigging love the car. My 72 is a pretty nice car and I replaced every part on it so it rides and drives like new with big block power but damn, there is no comparison to the modern technology of the 5th gen - not even close. The 10's previous owner put 3" Flowmaster exhaust with cutouts on it from front to back and welded every joint. Sounds great but the drone is quite annoying so I'll be looking into getting that fixed as well as removing the cutouts. I've already swapped out the rims for new 2014 smoke rims and love the looks of it. Done a few other things also and a few more planned but I'll start a progress thread for those. Love the site, some good info here! Plan on doing the first 4 legs of Power Tour next month and can't wait. Anyway's here's a few pics as I bought it. Any wonder why I wanted the Inferno Orange? My 72. And the 92. |

Very nice! Congrats on the new ride. If you're looking for a drone killer that still has a beautiful sound, go with Solo Performance. Their exhaust is GUARANTEED drone free and it sounds amazing!
