I've not even bought my 5th Gen yet

Now that the 6th is out the prices are dropping like rocks. I do like the 6, but the wide mouth 2009~2013 Camaro will remain my favourite.

Not at all, the only thing I think would have made the gen 5 perfect was the 3.73's that the 6th gen gets from the factory

Well for me, the 10-13 Camaro's were dead the second I saw the 14 refresh. I very much like the 6th gen and would love to own one but, I think I've gone through enough cars as of late and if I have it my way, perhaps some mods are in my future and thus, I'll keep this pig for much longer.

If not, then I'll wait and see what speciality models come out, how they perform and how badly dealerships are gouging customers before I make any decisions. I think from here on, I'm only going with speciality models (1LE, ZL1, GT350, etc., etc.)

I took my 5th gen out yesterday and today after my Spring detail. I made 8 or 10 stops
here and there and I swear I got 10 or 15 comments about the car. I bet there's not a
handful of other $40,000 cars that still get this much attention after almost 6 years and
37,000 miles.
Dead ? No way, still love this car.

Check back in a few months!

Just kidding. For me I will probably be the old turd stuck in 2013 and set in my ways refusing to accept that the gen6 is what's in. I guess I am going to start wearing white socks halfway up my shins and start whistling when I talk! Oh well at least I have a better looking ass!

No way the Gen5 is dead. I love my 2013 1SS. I will be looking at the Gen6 when it hits the dealerships, but it will have to be very good to get my 2013 away from me.

I love my 2012. I think the only way I would trade is if they came back with the t tops or hard top convertible.

Well, we know that's not gonna happen.

Not a chance in hell. As a matter of fact I think I like it more now than before the reveal. Sure, there are things on he 6th gen I wold like to have on my '13 but not the looks. The 10-13 version is still the best looking of the new Gen Camaros IMHO hands down.

The looks ..... they got busier and for a retro car feel its mostly lost on new age like the mustangish idea to appeal to the young..... And don't get me wrong its still a very pretty car, I imagine it will get lots of attention and be fun and expensive to mod.... And with mag ride it will be a touring luxury sports/muscle car as ours is....yet

It may inspire those who want to make it look more retro to have to do some things that we do not have to do as in replace the entire front and rear or buy the last generation. Sure we have had our day in the sun, I would buy one if I was rich no problem and check the extra box for Npp exhaust, And then Mag ride, and then what ever....then down the road...... if I wanted to mod it much to drag race..... the mag ride well that was a expensive option that's replaced by struts....

a Automatic still has VVT, and the big one......It had to change because CAFE standards change starting 2017...... who knows how long it will have a v-8,, someday it may not have one unless it 4.0 liters...? And does the interior have more room? and the trunk? IS it easier to see out of? well I know they got the cup holder moved.
And I am happy with what I got and have a 428 being built now for it s I am still very far from perfecting what I already have. And to expect something new to come out form the factory new perfect is not usually going to happen for a old motorhead.

6th Gen missed the mark in my opinion. Should have went even further retro.

I can't rememeber the artist, but I do remember that these were produced early half of the 2000's in response to the rumor of a new Camaro coming out.
I think this would have been the right track. Perhaps the rear would need to be worked a little. But, its a 95% solution in my book.

While everyone has their opinion, I vehemently disagree with this. Retro was a nice idea to reinvigorate interest in a dieing breed but it shouldn't be utilized as a way to the future.

The way forward isn't to look backward. The fifth gen served its purpose but they should have went with a revolutionary redesign instead of the evolutionary design we have now. I cannot wrap my head around this regressive mindset. Chevrolet has provided you and the masses with cars that fit the styling cues you want; buy those, instead. You want a car that looks like the 1969 Camaro? Buy a 1969 Camaro.
