Have a friend with exact same damage...almost identical looking at pics he sent me.

Ended up $8240.

Just a word of caution...or suggestion...or info.

Make sure if insurance company farms out the work to a non GM facility that they use new OEM GM parts or, if used parts (like wheels) insist on inspecting.

Initially, I'd insist on a Chevy dealer for collision repair.

Looks to be a total loss, unless no major frame damage.

We had some nasty weather here today, be thankful your ok, cars can be fixed, lives are gone forever.

Sorry man that is a huge bummer. I highly recommend an all season tire if your car is a DD. I've been really glad to have some during this rainy weather.

That looks worse than my Jeep that I totaled in January . Agreed that the core support is bent , that crinkle shouldn't be there .

Too much damage.

Fight to get the car totaled from the insurance peeps and move on to a 6th Gen.

Once a car is damaged like that it will never drive the same ever again.

IMHO.

Or you could try to sell it, body shop employees love to buy fixers. Insurance claim is probably the best bet though, not sure what your driving record, or claim history looks like. Remember that you have the final say in where you want it to be repaired. Glad you are OK!

I was going to say about 10k. in repairs. I would do the same as others are saying. Fix it and sell or trade up. It will never be the same.

I got hit from behind while stopped at a red light (guy was texting) and I thought maybe $3k worth of damage. Brought it to a Chevy dealer and it cost my insurance (of course he didn't have insurance) $9500. I couldn't believe it. You car is going to be totaled for sure. Here is a pic.
