Huge difference in the blocking provided in ceramic vs. conventional. I may not bother if it were just a beater car, but when you have something nice you should treat it nicely.

$620 for the complete car, windshield included.
It was worth every penny, especially on hot days when the inside temp is @20 degrees cooler. Remember, you get what you pay for.

In my part of the world, if you don't tint, you'll burn.
It actually came as an offer with the car. 3M is the company I used. |

Stealth, yes sometimes it's hard to see out the side windows at night. I get a lighter tint.

The guy who has done our cars for the last 7+ years, and has been in business for many years, uses Llumar films only. He also uses a machine that looks like a plotter that cuts the film to exact precision so it looks perfect when installed. Lifetime guarantee, entire car with windshield strip using Llumar ceramic for $200 but that was with my loyalty 10% discount. There's no reason this should cost any more than $250 at best. Get it if you can afford it, the ceramic blocks out more heat than the conventional, will keep your car a little cooler and a LOT cooler than with no tint.

yes, ceramic is by far the best:
http://www.bestcovery.com/best-ceramic-window-tint yes, Llumar is also an excellent ceramic tint. and yes, everything is more expensive in California, but like i said, you get what you pay for. Here's a picture looking through the tinted windshield, with the top down, back in February:

I had mine done the day after I picked it up. Ceramic is the way to go.
