I think it is between the seal "weatherstrip" and the roof rail that needs to be lubed it rattles when the window pushes it against the roof. The dealer did this for me under warranty. I think there is a TB on this some where. You can call the local dealer or maybe hit up the chevy rep on the site here and they can look it up for you. No mess at all. Not window to seal but roof to seal.

I have this rattle too just started yesterday. I don't think it's the quarter window as it sounds more like metal on metal. I'm thinking it's the exhaust rubbing or something like that. I'll take a look and see if I can find it this weekend.
