It can't be inaccurate. It reads the values from the PCM, just like any other device does. The only complaints I've read have been people finding parameters that are not supported by default and trying to figure out what the value actually means. For example, I've found KLF PID, but the value I get back is non-intuitive. So, my recording of it is "inaccurate".

The app itself is fantastic, does a lot of good stuff. The overlay and video is just plain cool!

Does Torque's app allow you to record IAT, boost and LTFT's and knock for a run, using the OBDLink MX tool? Just wondering about how many data points could be captured that quickly and if they can be exported to Excel.

I don't know about exporting it to excel, but it can log and record all of those things. Of course like all OBD2 logging, the more you log, the slower the sample rate. I've been satisfied with the rate. Multiple "samples" per second of multiple parameters. If you want something more finely grained, I'd of course reduce the number of polled parameters.

I highly recommend you get a bluetooth dongle (I highly recommend the MX OBDLink one for around $100... the cheaper ones seem to fail a lot. Mine did). The LITE version of Torque is free, and the PRO version I believe is only $5.

I've attached an image from a quick run I did. it's a bit misleading as all of the parameters don't update every cycle. I really should have recorded boost! D'OH!!

Nice! Thanks for sharing. So was my boost video about the normal level seen on these cars (see youtube link)? Just want to make sure its not running too high since its stock (could indicate the adjustment screw wasnt right for the bypass valve if so..)

I am using th plx kiwi 2, with the dash command app from Palmer performance. It seems to work well, but I had to enter my car as a 2009 ctsv for it to work instead of 13 ZL1.

That's where mine reads too. I am also stock, for now.

I just did it by hand, but have the tool on the way. Mine was pretty "pre-loaded". I did notice that the boost DOES kick in faster, and comparing boost (in first gear, only really got to wind that out, I seem to hit max boost in second, according to my logs), I am getting more...

USED to be that my "average" max-boost (if that makes sense) in 1st gear runs last year was around 8 psi (7.98 according to the PCM). And yes, I have every log I took last year, and did pull all the first gear runs to compare.

TODAY my "average" max-boost in first gear was 8.99 (according to the PCM).

This test is NOT at ALL conclusive, as I really didn't get a good chance to push it into second.

(The observation of the boost higher in second gear could be just an issue in the sample rate from the PCM. Currently my logging is done every half second.)

Free boost modification

My car was only making 9 lbs of boost with the 2.55 pulley, I watched the video and then checked my bypass valve and turns out it was tilted forward with the set screw pushing the plate back. I tilted it back a bit and the set screw isn't touching now I haven't been able to drive it yet but hoping for a little whine that I haven't heard yet since I've had the car

Has anyone benefitted from this at all? Thinking about ordering the part and testing this theory

It is just a set screw that you use an allen wrench to adjust and set the amount your boost bypass butterfly is open.
