A lot depends on what you have your cars for. I have a Blazer that's literally a dog when you try to step down on the gas... but it serves the purpose for running around daily errands and parking it anywhere without worries. The muscle cars are just that - muscle. Miata is a great scooter about, and at nearly 30mpg, great for running into town or for a long haul out to the Hill Country with the top down. Gas saved goes into more performance on the performance cars - or just to... more cars, lol.

Miata's stylish. The 2016 styling is sexy for the little roadster.

That's been my thoughts as well. If the hot hatches were a tad cheaper I'd say "why not one of those instead", but they're a decent chunk more money (but you get what you pay for IMO).

Many (most? 51%+) of us only have one car.

I already have a 1990 model with a whopping 116hp when it was new! I would have bought it already but having to pay for two new cars on almost minimum wage...I'll wait for a bit.

I would get the manual Club in Soul Red without any other options (Brembo/BBS or the AKE). It comes to almost $30k!

There is one of those is a Porsche Boxster and it starts at 52K striped and actually weighs 400-500 pounds more.

Me too!

The FRS/BRZ can go Induction as Suburu has a lot of experience in this area and I think you will see a Upgraded High HP version in the Future.

I've raced a Miata in the Playboy MX-5 Series and really enjoyed it. I have not seen a new version in person, so I have to hold back judgement so far. If it's nice I can get one with my Skip Barber/Mazda Racer Discount!

Do not take my commit the wrong way.
I have owned 2 Miata's and now own a Camaro and the RX8.

Mazda needs to put in more HP from the start.
In this case you will have more car than HP...

I got a chance to drive an 05 mx-5 and I would own one. I thought it was a pretty fun lil car but just like everyone else said it needs a lil bit more hp. I was expecting that because I just got done driving my camaro when I hopped into my friends Miata. I've always wanted to do a monster v8 conversion on one that would be a blast.
