60s all week and sunny which means she will still be out driving. Bought tarp today to get a head start and found the battery tender.

Need to get a battery tender, I'm sure it wont see much more street time, but no snow yet, so its out.

To my surprise and joy, mine's still out and running because of the unusually warm November we're having. Had it been snowing before Halloween like the last couple of years, she'd be long into hibernation by now.

Not putting anything away. It is my only car. I have a v6 2ls so nothing to fancy that i worry about to much. Drove my last car (civic SI) for 4 winters and she buffed out nice every spring.I will be moving down south in 1.5 years so 2 winters with this v6 camaro then a SS once i move to Florida or NC.

how crucial is it to have a fresh oil change when putting the car away for storage? This will be the first time that I have done this seeing that I just bought the car in June. What could happen to the car if the oil is not changed?

Fill that tank all the way up. But first put some Fuel 360 stabilizer in the tank. Doing this stops moisture from forming in the tank. And I never start the car up in the winter because it causes moisture. I live in cold weather just like you Central New York. I don't put wheels on pads either just extra air. Never put battery tender on the battery or disconnect the battery. Change my oil in the spring. Put steel wool in exhaust tail pipes. Dryer sheets in trunk, in the interior, & on parts of the motor. 51/2 years no problems.

Well the car is already under the cover and on jacks. Should I just put some gas in now anyways? Or just let it be ?

Drove it to work for the last time today, getting it washed on way home, tucking her in.
