I too am looking to replace my stock Pirelli's in a month or so and have been getting steered toward Falken FK453 tires (245 & 275 20's).
Are these good tires?

Falken FK453 are ''ok'' . I would go for Nittos Invos before these. Let me know what price you have for Falken, i'll see what i can do.

I am looking at $1100 installed & balanced for all 4 - 2 x 245/45/20 and 2 x 275/40/20 (stock sizes for my SS).

Is it strange that I am also considering the tread pattern as part of my criteria? I want a good looking pattern on it - not really wanting a normal " all season radial" looking pattern.
