Can't even order a CAI

Thanks to our wonderful California laws I can't even buy a cold air intake from CAI. I would have to have someone else buy it for me and ship it to me. Wish they would all just apply for CA approval and get their stamps.

CAI must have changed their policy cause I got one for my 2010 Camaro and had no problem getting it......and the cai was never CARB approved. How does CAI know that you aren't just going to put it onto a track only car?

The intake isn't CARB certified, therefor not street legal in the State of California thus products that do NOT have the CARB certification CANNOT be sold to residents of Cali. Same thing with every single "bad for the environment" related car part, like catless exhausts.

Sledge, if you can't find anyone to help you out... Who is closer to you, let me know.

If you're not in a rush I plan on putting a ProCharger on the car before PlasticFantastic so you can grab my system

When did this take effect?? I have never had a problem ordering and receiving any car parts that werent CARB certified in CA.

Key word street legal, the parts should be "off-road use only"

If its true, this is terrible news to all the car buffs in Calif. Almost like the ban of certain gun/knife items . Wow, I cant even get a handheld tuner with a preloaded tune cause all of them aren't CARB certified.

That sucks to hear. It seems like less and less aftermarket companies are applying for an CARB exemption on their products. I lived in CA many years ago and I never had a problem finding CARB parts, but looks like it changed. Is the upcoming GM CAI CARB approved?

Same here. Never had any problems receiving parts not carb certified on my previous build. I had two different intakes and a set of high flow cats that were shipped no issues.
