Yeah hopefully nothing major.

I'm just glad I'm not going crazy but it's bothersome that this does not seem to be an isolated issue.

I feel the same way, thought I was crazy too! Lol...I just wish the cause was isolated, hopefully soon.

One trick to get rid of the squeak temporarily is to find a long empty road, and speed up in reverse and slam on the brakes. Do it 1-3 times, and then drive off. The squeak will go away for a short while. Idk why it works, but i read somewhere that someone did that and it worked as a short term fix.

Interesting...I have heard that too. Wondering if it is a rear end issue then.

its your rear end. have the dealership drain and refill the diff. I had mine drained and filled twice.

I wish Chevy would make an official recall notice for this. seems to be happening to quite a few cars, at least on this forum.

I'll try that but for my situation it sounds like it is coming from the front and not the rear.

Well, I went to the dealer today, and they checked the rear diff and brakes, and determined it was the brakes. they say that GM sent them something about it, regarding all the brembo brakes. they basically said that some squeaking is normal and to be expected because of the material used in the brembo brakes, and it covers the Camaro and corvette brakes too. **** it. I can live with some squaking. this is my second visit about it, and I have all the documentation on it, so my ass is covered if it does evolve to a bigger problem. so far its just a squeak, I haven't had any issues braking.

Well guess it is a brake issue then, I have to pay attention more closely to see if it happens without brake being pressed.

I have it also. I noticed that when the exhaust valves close/open on the NPP at slow speeds, I get a single squeak. I'm not as excited about the NPP this time as I was on my 5th gen. I'm tempted to swap it from header back and eliminate some moving parts.

I have tried to figure out if it is the NPP exhaust, hard to tell though.

No its the AFM valves in the exhaust that cause that single squeak.
