Since the thread was related to the programming, it's not. I didn't say my car won't do 62. I said it won't display 62 as the cruise setting

Parked at work all day and now 62 is available. Odd quirk

I am fully aware that it's not EXACT speed but close enough. I was referring to setting it at 70, the dic says "cruise set to 70 mph" then displays 69 mph the entire time cruise is engaged. I couldn't care less that it's 69 or 70, I just think it's funny.

lol, it's all relative but, still a quirk and it IS 100% programming related. The speed displayed is an algorithm that translates true speed into displayed speed using industry acceptable standards (SAE J1226 in the US and UN-ECE-Regulation.39 in Europe). There is also a completely different set of calculations tied to the Odometer that is unrelated to the speedometer (go figure). You're simply witnessing an anomaly between the varying calculations.

63000 miles and several road trips and I've never once been inclined to use my cruise control. Used to use cruise control in all my other cars but it's just too fun to drive this car to automate any part of it.
