Come on folks...
It's simple, GM created a new model that doesn't pop like the 5th generation & there's been no real marketing for it... therefore we're seeing the result.

Gen6 are way too expensive. A v6 is priced at what a v8 was during Gen5. At this point you could negotiate a 2013 zl1 for the same price as a 2016 2lt Gen6. The math just does not add up.
I still think the style of the 5th Gen, particularly the back area, is nicer. Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk |

GM's attempt to put lipstick on a pig.
What Chevrolet Says About Falling Sixth-Gen Camaro Sales
Fact: Both Mustang & Challenger are outselling the Camaro now. The top person at GM stating it's alright, needs to invited to pursue opportunities elsewhere. |

4 tail lamps way up ahead of me. It just popped compared to everything up ahead. I then noticed a newer two lamp Camaro but not until I was almost passing it. It just looks like the rear of anything else from a distance. The early '10-'13's are the most unique imo.

I posted on Camaro 6 months ago that prices were too high and that sales would continue to suffer and I got ran out of there with torches and pitchforks. Some of the guys over there act like you aren't allowed to say anything negative about the 6th gen at all unless you actually own one lest you are a "hater".
I actually like a lot about the car, but most of the ones around my area were/are ridiculously expensive. Many 2 SS models were nearing mid 50's because they were all loaded and I even saw a turbo 4 for $40,000. Sorry I don't care about the "value" arguments, lots of people simply can't finance these cars. I'm very glad I bought my 15 1LE instead of getting s 6th gen. Can we not just copy and paste the one from last month here? F the fleet sale stories. It's lube for the stockholders. F the price. Although it is higher, dealers are offing them a LOT cheaper than MSRP. F the chassis change. It's actually better than the Gen5. People simply do NOT like the body style changes. That's it. Nothing more to say. Even if it was the price, if they liked the body, they'd pay it. Move along now.... nothing more to see here. JMHO

The front looks great but they should've had improved halo's instead. The rear is just horrific, the lights do not match the car at all in my opinion. And don't even get me started about the position of the RS/SS badge.

I went to get a order 2016 Yellow Turbo 4 and I stripped it down only stripes and a spoiler price was still 29,000 but a 2015 2Lt was 31,000 in RRM and 4,500 rebate and I traded my 2013 Spark with 15,000 miles 6,500 and owed 2,700 the rebate took care of what was owed the 5th GEN was a better deal plus I hated some of the design cues like, moving the center vents down, smaller steering wheel and I couldn't see through the back window other than those differences both cars seemed to similar for the price difference even the sales man told me to get the 2015 and trade it in later when the new body style releases maybe in 2020 a new Camaro was my dream so I went for it
I really wanted a 2010 - 2013 because I like the back design better I still hate the new steering wheel that was added in the 2012 interior refresh looks like it belongs in a SUV :( then GM put it back in the Gen 6 WTF! |

Soft, Euro styling and a mind-boggling price increase will undoubtedly decrease sales. No surprise. The majority of dealers have dozens of '16s sitting on their lots and are discounting them heavily in order to move them because the '17s have started showing up over the past month.

Few mention size. Being smaller doesn't impact sales in the opinions of this group?

It seems to me that, as has been discussed, price and styling are the two driving factors here. You have Mustang on one end of the design spectrum and challenger on the other and Camaro somewhere in the middle. Apparently most folks don't like that. Or the price. I personally like the new Camaro and would have one in a split second if not for the price.....although I do prefer the styling of the 5th gen.
Its really disheartening that this has had such a negative impact on Camaro as there is little debate on how formidable of a car it is otherwise. In every aspect. GM really needs to address these two issues quickly as it is such a shame to see a car that is otherwise spectacular, suffer from subjective aesthetics and price.
