The ONLY thing wrong with that car is the name: SS. That's it; just SS. Stupid.

I so agree it is a dumb name. My wife has one as her summer car and everywhere we go people ask what kind of car is that(hers has all the holden badging)try telling someone that its an ss and the next words out of there mouth is ss what Malibu, impala,ss what. Then you have to go into the holden Chevy thing. By the time they understand(if at all)you have wasted 10 minutes at least. One lady made my wife late for work asking all kinds of questions.

IMO that's a good thing, I enjoy driving a unicorn and talking to people about it.

And it's awesome your wife seems to appreciate this too...30 yrs here! peace out...
Fixed that for you.

Nice ride OP. If I had some expendable cash sitting around I would have one of these as well.

I think they're killing the SS at the right time. There's several sedans coming out with arguably better handling and acceleration (most recently the Jaguar XE). Even the Fusion Sport (V6 twin turbo) competes, at $35k.

The 20% is key to getting one right now, otherwise they've become passe and overpriced with the other options that have come on the market in the past couple years.

If you want V8 growl then the last domestic stop is the Charger(?).

I would have to disagree, these new cars are not full size sedans Like the SS. IMO the Charger is no match for the handling of the SS sedan, and for a price of $46k with only three options you can't go wrong.

People just didn't understand the car and it's true potential.

Agree with this; plus only the Jaguar (out of the cars mentioned) has an available manual transmission...
