Top Down Storage
How long do you leave your top down? Can I leave it down for weeks on end? Will doing so not leave creases in the material? I keep it in a garage when I'm not driving it.

Mine has been down since the beginning of May. Last summer I left it down until around the end of September you should be fine do you use the tonneau cover?

For a few days I'd think no problem, but it should be stretched out in the sun to keep crease marks to a minimum.

Is a tonneau that necessary? I've done over 100 regularly with the top down with zero issues.

My tops stays down for weeks at a time since the car is garage kept and only driven in nice weather. I have not noticed any creases when I put the top up. I would imagine putting the top up and letting it absorb some sun on a hot day and a quick spray form the hose followed by letting it dry off in the hot sun would literally iron out any creases that might occur.

I would be worried just as much about insects making a home under the seats and other hiding places...

I think there are to many things that could affect the interior if I left the top down all the time. We all have a switch, top goes down, top goes up. Ryan you surprised me when you said you keep yours down. I use my tonneau cover most of the I have the top down. I did stop using my cover on my last convertible after about 5 or 6 years and that top is still in pretty good condition.

Only comes out on nice days just easier to keep it down. I keep the tonneau on more for looks. Gives it a finished off look. Wish it was integrated like the gen6. Oh well Ryan B.

I keep mine down for months on end. Only put it up if I get caught out in the rain, which doesn't happen often. I leave mine down for ease of use of the vehicle. Saves time on pulling it out of the garage. I have always done my verts this way. Been driving vert Camaros for 35 years now. Probably less over all stress on the 5th Gen top system that has been reported to have 5th Bow problems. What do you think?

I keep my down as much as possible because I am afraid of the fifth bow issue. I figure the less times I cycle the folding roof the lower my chances are of the dreaded fifth bow issue striking, not to mention less wear on the motor and actuators. My Camaro is garage kept 100% of the time when not being driven. My garage is insulated, drywalled, painted, insulated garage door, epoxy floor, ceiling fans, heated in the winter and treated by the pest control guy just like every other living space in my home.

I have left mine down all summer, every summer, since I got my car in 2013.
4 summers now with No Problems. I keep my toneau cover on. I think it helps keep the top from rubbing against it self at high speeds.

I've owned my car for 6 years. For all 6 years, the top has gone down in April and goes back up in September/October. My top is like new. No worries.

I'm in the "leave it down all summer" camp. Saves on wear and tear. I do use an interior cover if it's not driven for a couple of days or parked outside.
