Well that rules our the Fourth Gen too. They were built in St. Therese' Canada. Oooops.

It's got muscle, and it's a car, hence muscle car.

Arguably engine displacement, torque, and HP are required for this category. That's generally why imports haven't qualified. A high HP 3.0 to 3.7 Liter V6 doesn't quite cut it for muscle..........IMO.

But thanks for grabbing that big ole spoon and trying to stir the pot.

A lot of people consider today's performance cars as Pony cars, reserving Muscle cars to the 60's & early 70's performance cars. To me I really don't care what it's considered because under the hood it's got the performance if not even better than of a Muscle car, pony car, or sports car.

Canada isn't really that far away anyway. We invented the borders between the countries, we can also define for ourselves what we think is a muscle car. To each his own, but for me, this is a true muscle car.

Not sure about yours but my sticker says engine assembled in the US....other misc parts from Mexico.

I don't base the muscle on my cup holder, I base it on the bad a$$ LS3 inside assembled in the U.S. of A. Camaro = American Muscle Car. Face!

IT WAS NEVER A MUSCLE CAR its a PONY car god get it right.

a Muscle car is the family car that can sit 5 or more butts in it with a big flipping engine in it a over sized small block or a big block in it. these only ran from 64-74 & started with the GTO.

a sports CAR is a 2 seater, a corvette, viper (well of course your Shelby gt is part of that group as well now)

a Sports coupe is a 2 door 4 seater car, (yes the Camaro can be classified as that as well)
