Have your local news do a report on this. GM does not like bad news reported about safety issues. This is the best way to get GM to address the issue. It may take some time, but if this gets reported up high enough, say FOX news or CNN, GM may start looking more.

I've done the measurements and cut a template. I also took one of my microfiber towels and cut it to fit. Not sure if a softer, easier-to-store cloth cover or a harder, foam cover that maybe "locks" into the top of the defrost vents would be a better idea.

I also am doing this in my spare time and don't really have the materials to make these, but I'd love to work with ONE OF OUR SMART AND LOVELY VENDORS TO MANUFACTURE A FUNCTIONAL AND GOOD-LOOKING VENT COVER. Just sayin'.

It's a pain in the butt... and the more times you run the wipers with no rain, you're going to tear one of those wiper blades up... Fog-X doesn't work, and putting a towel up doesn't look great... but it is, what it is.

I think it may need more than just one volunteer.

I'm with everyone else who wants a nice looking vent cover. If it were black and nicely matched the dash, I'd probably pay more than is reasonable.

My cash is waiting for someone to make this!

Gonna have my grandmother crochet one. She made one hell of a cover for the tissue box.

I'm working on a cover with a tooling company that I'm connected to. The first prototype we made proved my theory correct. Once we get the prototype built the way I plan to then will fully test it to ensure it will solve this problem. Stay tuned.

Wheel Team 6 - If you need additional cars to test I can drive out to NPR. Also been working on some of my own designs. Would love to help in any way I can.

Worked on it Sunday and also went over findings today. Working on the next prototype this week. Granted for me it's slow progress as I have a full time daily that takes up a lot of my time. I will keep you in mind for another tester for sure. Maybe we can eventually brainstorm the ideas together. I have a proven theory as of today. Also have a few angles to create the solution for this. Working with a fine pitch tooling company friend as well as looking at other options. My goal is to find a surefire solution to this that can be offered to our camaro community.
