What axle nut to use?
Has anyone that changed their cv axles noticed that Chevy uses a different axle nut from the factory? Going to the dealership they said the 11611687 is correct one but that's a 36mm versus the 32mm i just took off. I was told that normal but am concerned because it doesn't want to sit flush to the back of the hub. Im a M6 if that helps. Still looking through threads to get some concrete proof.
Is the 11611687 part number right or is the right part the 11611234? TIA

Yeah the 11611687 is the one I got through NAPA. I checked gmpartsdepartment.com and they show the same number. Not to the point of putting it all back together yet so can't help you there.

My conclusion is that GM changed the part number to the one above as there is no other axle nut besides the 1LE/Zl1 nut which is different.

Yep, mine went on fine.
They stretch when you torque them down. That's why they have to be replaced when they're removed.
