Hurst Shifters: Do You Like the Nostalgic Look or Would You Like to See an Update?

Looking for some feedback from Camaro owners. What draws you to or away from our current shifter offerings? Is it the form, function or both? Are you only interested in shorter, more precise throws or is the classic look part of the appeal for you? Would you like to see an updated stick and knob design - something other than the current chrome stick and white ball? Is the option of reusing your factory shift knob important to you? Let us know.

Our current offerings for the 5th Gen Camaro:

Billet/Plus Shifter w. Classic Ball

I think these sticks sit too high. (and I don't see one for the v6)

I ran one of these in my 4th gen Camaro, and loved the look and feel of it. Although they did get very warm or very cold depending on the weather outside.

For me it's the look ...maybe that's because I had a Hurst in my '66 GTO (here's a photo of my current stick ...notice the resemblance). What I would like to see is when ordering a Billet Plus Shifter in addition to the stick that comes with it you should offer the option to order any Hurst sticks that will fit it (at a discount). Win Win for all ... customer gets choice of sticks and Hurst sells more sticks !

I love the classic look and feel of a Hurst shifter. I had one on my M22 in my Chevelle and I've had one on my Camaro since new. I would like to see a black chrome or satin black stick.

How about an option for to just change the stick assembly but keep the stock mechanism, for us guys that already have the optional hurst shifter from GM.

You are not the only one!

How about a T HANDLE for the auto too

We actually do still offer the option as a replacement shift knob. You can find them here.

If you have a Hurst Shifter in your Camaro with the classic white ball you could replace it with T-handle. We happen to offer universal fit handles in three finishes:

- Chrome Plated
- Polished Aluminum
- Brushed Aluminum

We thank everyone for participating. Please keep the feedback coming.

Thinking of getting that. How does the T-handle feel with the straight stick, as opposed to the shifter being angled?

Ya, I know old skool we’d have it angled, like I’ve done in the past cars. I feel it works best straight for drag racing, or just jamming through the gears. Arm angle and palm feel is just right.

I've had mine since '11 and really like it a Lot !!
It's been trouble free right outta the box And coupled with your Pistol Grip Shifter, It sits right at the height I want ! If I didn't have the Pistol Grip Idve opted for the taller stick like the guy above shows on his !!!
