I wanted to come up with something better, but I couldn't think of a descriptive word that looked right, and I was in a hurry. I tried "nosey, pesky, annoying, sneaky, snooping, meddling," and many other words featured on Scooby Doo. I'm always open to suggestions.
The only time they sleep around here is when there is a real crime going on. There's no profit in catching burglars!

I anybody threatening looking approaches me, I'll pull out the stack, slap it loudly across the fingertips of my other hand, then hold one out at arms length toward them with a crazy, far off look in my eyes. Guaranteed they'll walk away!
